Happy New Year 2012 to all of you! I added the upcoming events for 2012 in our event section. I will update them as more information will be available. - 1/28/2012: Karneval January 28th, 2012 –Doors open at 5pm, Shakespeare Hall, 2940 Bedford Avenue, Placerville, CA 95667
- 3/12/2012: General Membership Meeting, Denny’s in Placerville, 4pm
- 5/19/2012: Maifest, time and venue will be announced
- 8/18/2012: Hot August Night, Elisher Ranch 5pm: Theme “Auf der Reeperbahn nachts um halb eins”, a famous German movie, featuring the Hamburger Reeperbahn, the famous amusement district of St. Pauli. A place where Sailors and others meet for their free time “off the ship”. Be excited about decoration, food and music.
09/29/2012: Oktoberfest, Shakespeare Hall, 2940 Bedford Avenue, Placerville, CA 95667 time will be announced - 12/8/2012: Weihnachtsfeier, time and venue will be announced
- 1/26/2013: Karneval, time and venue will be announced

This year’s Oktoberfest will take place at the Shakespeare Hall in Placerville.
We will have Live music with Alpiners USA, freshly tapped beer from the keg and traditional Oktoberfest food. This time we will offer Potato Salad, Leberkas, Bratwurst, Chicken, Sauerkraut, Pretzel, and Dessert. So please get dressed in your Dirndl and Leder¬hosen and the only thing I have to say now is: "O'zapft is!" Look up our event section for details. |

General Membership Meeting 2011 |

On March 27th we met for our annual General Membership Meeting at Denny's in Placerville. 39 Members were present. The board members presented their resorts, but the main activity were the election of the new Board members. Usually a position is taken for 2 years, and every year 50% of the positions will be for election. Due to personal reasons there were more positions for election this year then usual. Luckily we found volunteers for each position. Here the results: List of officers: - President: Sabine Baggio, re-elected for another term of 2 years
- Vice-President: Rosemarie Lurz, newly elected
- Board Secretary: Silke Kirkwood, newly elected
- Treasurer: Jim Richard, re-elected for another term of 2 years.
Board of Directors / Chairperson: - Membership Secretary: Dagmar Wheeler, for re-election in 2012
- Newsletter /Homepage: Markus Baggio,re-elected for another term of 2 years
- Event Coordinator: Anneliese Tupper, newly elected
- Barmeister: Markus Baggio, for re-election in 2012
- Decoration Chair: Gail Richard, re-elected for another term of 2 years
- Food Chair: Rosemarie Lurz, newly elected
- Storage Master: George Elisher (re-elected for another term of 2 years)
We found also volunteers for the decoration committee and support for Jim as cashier for our events. Also many thanks to all who volunteered over the last two years. |
